Scott Bader employee attends the exclusive event at the White House
Kumar Abhinava, Group Project Manager at Scott Bader Scott Bader, has attended an exclusive VIP event at the White House in recognition of the firm’s growing operations in India and the United States. A ceremonial welcome was held recently for the state visit of the Prime Minister of India, sri Narendra Modi, who was welcomed by a gathering of Indian diaspora living in the USA. According to Scott Bader Abhinava was just one of three prominent Indians to attend from Indiana, selected for his academic and professional achievements, as well as his work in the community through arts and culture – particularly through the International Hindi Association. Abhinava’s attendance was recommended by the Indian Embassy in Washington D.C via the Consulate General of India, Chicago, an institution which covers mid-western states, including Indiana, where he resides. Established in 1921, Scott Bader is a £300m global chemical company that employs over 800 people worldwide across 18 offices and seven manufacturing sites. In July 2022 Scott Bader Pvt Ltd (India) acquired the commercial business of Satyen Polymers Pvt Ltd, cementing its existing operations in India with the aim of bringing the latest technology to improve the quality and consistency of finished products in India. Alongside the acquisition, local technical support is now provided. Speaking of the once-in-a-lifetime visit, Abhinava said: “It was nothing short of an honour to represent Scott Bader at a ceremony which celebrated the very best of business relationships between India and the U.S. The company’s recent investment in infrastructure, both operational and commercial in both countries, demonstrates its commitment to growing intercontinental operations whilst solidifying existing customer bases.
